Kacelnik heads the Behavioural Ecology Research Group at Oxford.〔(Behavioural Ecology Research Group - Alex Kacelnik )〕 The author of nearly 200 peer reviewed publications, his research focuses on the evolution of behaviour and mathematical modelling.
